1. PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS
These are the standard SKUs. Custom runs take about 1 week longer.
| Item | Standard Spec |
| Product type | UV fluorescent cloth tape for compatible stage cues, event marking, studios, props, cable identification, displays, and low-light organization. |
| Backing material | Poly-cotton cloth provides a flexible woven backing that can be handled, cut, and hand-torn for many routine marking tasks. |
| Fluorescent component | Fluorescent pigment increases visible brightness under a suitable UV or blacklight source; response depends on wavelength, lamp power, distance, and ambient light. |
| Adhesive | Hot-melt adhesive provides quick initial tack on suitable clean, dry surfaces; heat exposure, ageing, residue, and removal require testing. |
| Standard thickness | 0.32mm. Alternative thickness constructions can be developed for qualifying orders, subject to a higher MOQ. |
| Roll width | 15mm (1.5cm). Custom slit widths are available for volume programs, with an increased minimum order quantity. |
| Roll length | 5m. Other roll lengths can be discussed, although customized production requires a higher MOQ. |
| UV behaviour | Designed to appear more vivid under suitable UV illumination. It is not automatically photoluminescent and should not be described as afterglow tape without supporting test data. |
| Recommended uses | Stage positions, backstage cues, props, cable identification, equipment marking, event displays, escape rooms, studios, and compatible low-light applications. |
| Recommended surfaces | Clean, dry, stable flooring, cases, metal, plastic, sealed wood, props, scenery, and painted surfaces after a small compatibility test. |
| Application method | Clean and dry the area, cut or tear the required piece, apply without stretching, and press the full strip and edges firmly. |
| Removal guidance | Peel slowly at a low angle. Test first on painted, coated, delicate, porous, or aged surfaces because residue or finish damage may occur. |
| Performance checks | Confirm UV response, colour, initial tack, holding power, heat exposure, abrasion, residue, edge lifting, and removal under intended conditions. |
| Packing options | Roll cores, individual wraps, retail cards, labels, inner packs, carton quantities, private-label artwork, and shipping marks can be reviewed by order. |
| Payment | 30% T/T deposit, 70% before shipment. L/C accepted for orders >$15K. |
2. WHY BUILDERS REORDER FROM US
(Direct-use reasons for theatres, event companies, production studios, entertainment suppliers, escape-room operators, distributors, and private-label customers)
🔨 “It makes backstage cues easier to locate”
Small position marks can become more visible under blacklight without requiring bulky signs. The selected fluorescent colour should still be tested in the actual venue before a live event.
🔨 “The cloth backing is quick to handle”
Crews can measure, tear, cut, position, and replace short pieces during setup. The compact format works well for temporary labels, stage references, props, and equipment cases.
🔨 “The narrow width suits precise marking”
A focused strip is useful when the cue must be easy to see under UV light but should not cover a broad section of equipment, flooring, or scenery.
🔨 “The product has a clear technical story”
Buyers can explain the construction directly: fluorescent pigment, poly-cotton cloth backing, and hot-melt adhesive for compatible UV-reactive marking applications.
🔨 “The distinction from glow tape is honest”
UV fluorescent tape needs a suitable UV source to create the intended visual effect. It should not be sold as photoluminescent afterglow tape unless separate test data supports that claim.
🔨 “Custom dimensions can follow the production brief”
Share the target colour, UV light setup, surface, thickness, width, length, core, label artwork, packing style, quantity, and destination. Custom formats can be reviewed when the order supports a higher MOQ.
3. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q1: What is UV fluorescent tape used for?
A: It is used for compatible stage cues, event marking, studio identification, props, cables, pathways, escape-room details, display work, and other applications viewed under UV or blacklight.
Q2: Does it glow in complete darkness?
A: Not by itself. UV fluorescent tape becomes vivid while exposed to a suitable UV or blacklight source. It is different from photoluminescent glow-in-the-dark tape, which stores light and produces an afterglow.
Q3: What is the tape made from?
A: The construction uses fluorescent pigment with a poly-cotton cloth backing and a hot-melt adhesive. The final colour, weave, adhesive coat, and surface finish should be approved by sample.
Q4: Will every blacklight produce the same effect?
A: No. Apparent brightness depends on the UV wavelength, lamp power, distance, angle, ambient light, pigment colour, and the viewer’s surroundings. Test the tape under the actual lighting setup.
Q5: Can it be used on floors or painted surfaces?
A: It may be suitable for some stable floors, equipment, props, and painted surfaces, but compatibility varies. Test a hidden area first and check adhesion, residue, finish damage, and edge lifting.
Q6: Is it suitable for outdoor use?
A: Outdoor durability should not be assumed without testing. Sunlight, rain, dirt, heat, abrasion, and changing temperatures can affect fluorescent colour, cloth backing, adhesive hold, and removal.
Q7: How should the tape be removed?
A: Lift one edge and peel slowly at a low angle. Removal behaviour depends on the substrate, temperature, pressure, dwell time, surface coating, and adhesive ageing.
Q8: Can the thickness, width, and length be customized?
A: Yes. Custom dimensions can be discussed for volume orders, but higher minimum quantities apply. Confirm the final colour, UV response, construction, adhesive performance, labels, and packing through samples before production.
