Q1: Can this anti-slip tape be applied on raw untreated concrete or bare wood?
A: It can, but for porous surfaces like raw concrete or unpainted timber, we strongly recommend painting or applying a quick surface primer coat first. Porous materials trap air and dust, which weakens long-term adhesive contact unless sealed.
Q2: Is this tape suitable for barefoot areas like swimming pools or showers?
A: Probably not — aluminum oxide is aggressive and designed for work boots and shoes; it will scratch bare feet. For pool decks, bathtubs, or marine decks, ask us for our soft PEVA rubberized non-abrasive anti-slip tape instead.
Q3: How do you prevent water from seeping under the edges during high-pressure washing?
A: For outdoor steps or washdown bays subject to power washing, we advise applying a thin bead of clear edge-sealer compound along the tape edges after installation. That seals off the adhesive seam completely from high-pressure water jets.
Q4: Can we order pre-cut stair tread sizes instead of full rolls?
A: Yeah! We die-cut custom tread sizes all the time. Popular sizes are 100mm x 600mm. We pack them flat in bundles or custom printed retail display packs.
Q5: Will extreme cold weather cause the tape to snap or peel off?
A: Once installed at room temperature (10°C or higher) and allowed to cure for 24 hours, the solvent acrylic adhesive holds down to -10°C without issue. Just don’t attempt to apply the tape onto frozen surfaces below 0°C without heating the surface first.
Q6: Can you print our brand logo or barcode on the individual roll shrink-wrap?
A: Yes, we do private-label retail packaging for hardware brands. We can insert your custom printed color round-card label on top of each shrink-wrapped roll or print barcodes directly on the outer master box at minimal cost.
Q7: How long does ocean shipping take to European or US West Coast ports?
A: Production usually takes 7-10 days. Total turnaround is around 4-5 weeks.
Q8: How do you handle quality claims if a batch has adhesive defects?
A: If there’s ever a adhesive coating flaw or grit shedding issue, send us photos/videos and the batch code stamped on the core tube. We verify it with our QC retain sample and credit or replace the defective rolls on your next container shipment.
